Headass U Drops New Album ‘A’

Headass U is a phantastical artist in the way that he blends spooky beats and lyrics with fanatic and fantastic respect for the artistry of the music! It’s rare to see artists step outside of the box and try/mix genres together to try something new and unique. Many artists in today's music are content on recycling the same style, the same beat, and the same lyrics and it’s sad how music has gotten like this. Not Headass U though, my man is an experimenter to the t. He is not just limited to one genre or one sound, he tries every sound and mixes them. His dark and mysterious undertones sounds as if he’s trying to murder the beat or it’s as if Jack the Ripper was rapping. In fact, my favorite song on this album is “JACK”. Song is amazing and the drums on it go absolutely crazy. It’s just a great song to listen to when working out. He actually goes on a crazy two song run between “JACK” and “A”. The song “A” is also the name of the title which means it had to go hard. Super good album to listen to when lifting weights or sparring or working out. It always pushes me to go harder and to give my 100%. Plus, he needs to do some horror movie themed music videos for sure. That would go crazy. I watch a ton of horror films and have them on for background noise while I workout and listen to Headass U because his music just fuels you. It’s like adding gasoline to a bonfire. He’s also so active and is always dropping plus kudos to his album covers because they’re so sick. A vinyl drop from him of a limited run would be legendary for real. All of his album covers would look gas on merch as well. You can feel the horror/gothic references in his music and in his song titles. For example on his brand new album “A”, he has a song titled “SMILE” after the hit horror film ‘Smile’. Gothic literature fans will also rejoice too knowing that ‘The Tell-Tale Heart’ by the late Edgar Allen Poe gets a shout out too with the song “Tell-Tale Heart ''. It really adds to the mood and the overall theme of the whole album. These two songs also were my favorite because as I’ve stated before and in my articles, I’m a horror freak. This album does have a few features with the likes of Lil Ducky and Jupiluxe. This album has a total of fourteen songs and runs for a total length of thirty minutes and about twenty seconds. This album is out now on all streaming platforms and worldwide which is amazing. If he did a score or soundtrack for a horror movie or thriller, that would be perfect. Just a match made in heaven. He would kill it and add an extra element to the movie. It would be like peanut butter and jelly to be totally honest. He always shows love to his community and to other artists which is rare in the industry because everyone wants to compete with each other, rather than support each other. If everyone posted everyone’s music and gave it a listen, the industry and music scene would be ten fold better for artists. His lyrics and storytelling has really improved and he’s really honing his craft and improving with every drop too. This is what you want to see from young artists is improvement and not just staying stagnant and running in place like a hamster. You want to see growth and maturity and be comfortable being uncomfortable. Let us know what y’all thought of this album and shout out to the producers of this album. Really good beat selection for the artist and album. Let us know what your favorite song is from the album and we will keep you updated on Headass U’s next drop!
