The Rise of Reno’s Bass Camp Fest
P/Chris Alvarado: Ghastly performs at Bass Camp Fest
We know Vegas gets most of the love, but a Reno EDM festival ‘Bass Camp Fest’ is on the rise, and just held their 6th festival. DJ’s such as Deadmau5, Madeon, Charly Jordan, and more were all in attendance to light up Reno. From big DJ sets, to swimming, and even silent dancing, Bass Camp could be here to stay.

The festival took place at Wingfield Park, and had two stages. The access to both was easy, as the site isn’t very large. People of all age ranges came out, and showed off their bright rave outfits. There was also a shallow river that ran through the festival, allowing attendees to swim at their own risk.

Reno may not be the same as Vegas when it comes to the rave scene, but could be a contender with Bass Camp. The EDM fans turned out in numbers, and enjoyed some of their favorite dj’s while enjoying some desert heat. Bass Camp will take place every summer, at least that’s their plan for now. With so many EDM options, Bass Camp will need to keep the momentum up in the next coming years to keep up in such a big city for events. One thing that won’t change however, is the amount of people that will come out and pay for tickets to raves in the city of Reno.
