El Super Burrito Food Review!

El Super Burrito is a local food restaurant in Eugene, Oregon that serves Mexican food with an American twist and a killer Oregon burrito. A Oregon burrito is usually just a normal burrito with French fries added to it or curly fries. I always go for the curly fries because it adds an extra crispy element to the burrito. Today though, we got a ton of tacos to try and it was really fun! First, we got the carnitas taco plate that comes with rice and beans and we also got two street chicken tacos. Now when a place says street taco it doesn’t mean it’s made on the street or something crazy, it just means that it’s your classic taco. Two tortillas, chicken, cilantro, and onion. Just a really well done basic taco. The carnitas taco plate had an added tomatoes and cilantro mixture on top of the classic street mixture. It was interesting because you see some tacos having tomatoes but not much unless it’s in the sauce or salsa or roasted down. The rice and beans were pretty good just standard Mexican rice and black beans with Mexican cheese. Oh, we also got a large horchata which is super good. I wanted a couple churros but saw how much food we got already and decided against it. Our favorites were the carnitas taco, the chicken taco, the horchata, then the rice and beans. We agreed the chicken taco though just needed a little bit more chicken in it and more onions and cilantro just a touch. The rice and beans could’ve been jazzed up a bit more and was just missing something. The cilantro taco was already so good that it really stood out. I liked with the taco plate, they had lettuce, sour cream, and a few avocado slices to put on the carnitas tacos. It made for a super tasty and filling taco, which is just my weakness. Tacos are just perfect in my opinion and make for a perfect snack or meal. Overall, I’d give this place a solid seven out of ten for their overall taste and price. It’s fast and easy for a pretty okay price and it makes sense because food everywhere is so expensive now and it’s easier to eat out then eat in.
