Marcus Mariota To Start On MNF For Eagles

Jalen Hurts has been dealing with an illness all week, and it has been announced he won’t be traveling with the team. Though that’s a big blow for Seattle, Marcus Mariota will take over in Seattle, and get to show the world if he still has it.

Marcus Mariota hasn’t started in a regular season game since his time in Atlanta last year. Though he struggled, he was also promising and didn’t have a horrible season. He has since taken the backup job behind MVP candidate Jalen Hurts, who has given the eagles no reason to think about starting Mariota over him. The Eagles will battle the Seattle Seahawks, coming off a big loss to San Francisco. Lumen Field is loud, and Marcus will be getting into that thunderous fish bowl.

Don’t count Marcus out though, he still has skill and technique to get a win. It will be interesting to see if he’s improved or regressed since his time with the Falcons. Can Marcus keep the road to the 1 seed alive for Philadelphia? Only time will tell.
