Rise Of The Eugene Music Scene
Eugene is mainly known as a college town, and doesn’t bring in the mainstream entertainment that Portland can bring. However, in the last couple years Eugene has been pushing their way to a more mainstream view. From Eugene house shows, to big concerts, Eugene is making a big rise in the music scene.

Though Portland has the more popular venues, Eugene is making its way. In the last couple years, Eugene has seen the likes of big artists such as Noah Cyrus, Lil Jon, Jack Harlow, Willow Smith, Cordae, and more. The house show scene has grown a lot as well. More and more local bands and artists are taking to the stage at house parties, and making a big impression on the Eugene music fans.

Eugene will only build, as the city is now taking some inspiration from downtown Portland, and building the city to a bigger size, and trying to create a big city vibe. The U of O only gets bigger, and that will only draw bigger crowds to these shows. Eugene may never have professional sports teams or zip cars over the city, but the feel is comfortable and local. As someone from Eugene, I’ve seen this city at its lows, and I’ve seen the progress it’s made over the last years. Bigger artists will start taking the stage here in Eugene, so we can all look forward to that.
