Bigger party school - Oregon or Oregon State

Halloween is right around the corner, which means colleges are gonna be indulging in some halloweekend fun. There are two big schools in Oregon with big Halloween tradition, but which is better, Eugene or Corvallis. Oregon and Oregon State may be rivals in sports, but also off the field for their party status. So which is better? Let’s go over the pros and cons of each.

U of O has great house parties around these times, and a lot of live music to enjoy. Tons of local bands perform throughout the city, making Eugene a big house show spot.

Eugene is also the most popular college town in Oregon. This most likely drives traffic to Eugene for Halloween and the weekends well before. However, Corvallis definitely has the culture of a party town. Since Corvallis is small, most people only see Corvallis for the wild city it can be. Some call it Corvegas, as it drives party goers to the town.

Corvallis is also known well for house shows, but not as much as Eugene. Eugene is a more mainstream spot in Oregon than Corvallis, so many actually don’t even know about Corvallis being a town to travel to. Never the less, for people that do, they know well that Corvallis is more allowing and accepting to party goers. Oregon State is a lot easier to actually be allowed to parties if you’re a guy. The frat life in Eugene is the mainstream house party scene, and getting in is dang near impossible for a guy. Corvallis is different, and much more lenient on who’s there. The vibes in Corvallis are much more relaxed, but Eugene has a more mainstream party scene.

So which is better? I would say Corvallis for the leniency they provide and better culture overall.
